www.okcvelo.org.
Contributions above the annual membership fee to the OKCVC are tax deductible as allowed under the law. OKCVC is
a 501c3 organization under IRS regulations.

Club members are expected to participate in the organization and implementation of all Club-sponsored races,
safety clinics, and other events.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are a licensed USCF racer for another team, you must obtain a release from that club or wait
until you renew your USCF license before being eligible to race for OKCVC.
NOTICE: THIS MEMBERSHIP AND RELEASE FORM IS A CONTRACT WITH LEGAL CONSEQUENCES. READ IT CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING.
In consideration of the acceptance for membership in the Oklahoma City Velo Club, Inc. I freely
agree to make the following contractual representations and agreements.
I fully realize the dangers of participation in bicycle races and fully assume the risks associated with such participation
including, by way of example, and not limitation, the following: the dangers of collision with pedestrians, vehicles, other racers, and fixed or moving objects;
the dangers arising from surface hazards, equipment failure, inadequate safety and equipment, weather conditions, and the possibility of serious physical and/or mental
trauma or injury associated with athletic cycling competition.
I hereby waive, release, and discharge for myself, my heirs, my executors, administrators,
legal representatives, assigns, and successors in interest (hereafter collectively "successors") any and all rights
and claims which I have or which may hereafter accrue to me against the Oklahoma City Velo Club, Inc.; Federation; race promoters
and promoting organizations; property owners; law enforcement agencies; all public entities; special districts and
properties (and their respective agents, officials and employees) through or by which events will be held for any and all damages which
may be sustained by me or indirectly in connection with, or arising out of, my participation in or association
with the events, travel to or return from events of the Oklahoma City Velo Club, Inc. occurring during 2008.
I agree it is my sole responsibility to be familiar with race courses. The United States Cycling Federation and the
Oklahoma City Velo Club rules, and any special regulation for an event. I understand and agree that situations may arise
during the race, which may be beyond the immediate control of the race officials or organizers, and I must
continually ride so as to neither endanger myself or others. I accept responsibility for the condition and
adequacy of my competition equipment. I will compete and participate in all events wearing a helmet that can protect
against serious head injury, and assume all responsibility and liability for the selection of such helmet.
I have no physical or medical condition which, to my knowledge, would endanger myself or others if I
participate in the Oklahoma City Velo Club events, or would interfere with my ability to participate in these events.
I agree, for myself and successors, that the above representations are contractually
binding, and are not mere recitals, and that should I or my successors assess my claim in contravention of
this agreement, I or my successors shall be liable for the expenses (including legal fees) incurred by the
other party or parties in defending, unless the other party or parties are finally adjudged liable on such
claim for willful and wanton negligence. This agreement may not be modified orally, and waiver of any
provision shall not be construed as a modification of any such other provision herein or as a consent to any
subsequent waiver or modification. I agree to allow any images of myself taken at Club events to be used
in Club media vehicles without further permission or compensation.
